With all the politicizing and flag waving surrounding 9/11, as the 10th anniversary approached, I felt compelled to pay tribute to the individual lives that were taken away that day. The idea resulted in a video production, 3000 Rose Petals, capturing the quiet ceremony of tearing the roses, counting the petals and dispersing them into the ocean not far from Logan International Airport on September 11, 2011. The video also includes all the victims' names arranged by me into a mosaic. Although I did not know any of the people who lost their lives, the intense focus on the names to avoid any spelling mistakes infused each keystroke with a sense of personal loss.

Haunting music generously offered by Dreamchild brought it all together into a moving tribute to what is cherished and will remain.
